Shot this Mtn bull in 2012 and skinned him for a life-size which completed my caribou slam and still haven't gotten to mount it, on my own waiting list

It does look good on the wall....We have only shot 3 of them in my family...the other two were shot early in September so the plumage was not there.

My friend Mark's antelope from our Wyoming DIY trip this past fall. Mark came over from England for the hunt. (Note the handgun )

Mark grabbed this shot of me and the beasts after we got back from WY. I don't have many pics of myself, and fewer with the dogs. The shot was taken in my favourite bird hunting spot.

And lastly this one of my "mentees" from this past fall as well.

First blood for my .444 Marlin. Not a biggie, but special to me.

My monster mare that packed out the hinds. Appy/Percheron mare. Not a pretty girl, but lots of heart.

My hunting pardner, packing out the fronts and tiny antlers on Canyon.

My Yukon hunt. This is Leif my Norwegian guide and friend. I had to do this picture in sepia as it is sooooo fitting.

My 59 1/2" bull. I couldn't bring him home as I was flying out the day after shooting it.

My one and only antelope so far. A nice doe. Memorable because when I was de-boning her, the buck actually attacked me. Got to the hunting destination at 8:00 am and by 8:30 am it was all over and done with. I've been putting in for trophy antelope and holding out till I can be somewhat sure of drawing.

Here's one of my favorites:

That's my 88 year old grand father with me on the last moose hunt that he was able to go on. He hunted the same area for nearly 50 years and told many stories as we went down various trails, reminiscing about different hunts, including stories of my late father. It was probably the highlight of my hunting life to date.

Here's another one:

This was taken on opening day of deer season, three days after my third child was born. Mama needed a break so I took the kids and went to a few areas I had permission on. My son spotted this buck and I knew I wasn't going to get out much in the upcoming weeks so I closed the deal. My daughter's "camo" still cracks me up!

Notice there's not a bit of camo or other fancy equipment in the old school photos. How recent is the camo craze for hunters, just the last 20 years? Less?

To me this is what hunting is all about. The way it should be between family and friends. Bonding like no other way.
Thanks for sharing.

A couple more pics I like, more for what happened than anything else. I was pretty proud of this off hand shot because the only part of the deer that was visible was the neck and head,,,,the rest of the body was behind rock. It was also a 30-40 minute sight and stalk. Didn't have an opportunity to find a good rest.

A day earlier while hunting grouse in the early afternoon:
