Default First bow kill

Well after missing out on my bear this spring, I finally got my first bow kill on a tricky shot...unlike my missed bear shot. Had the big bugger up on the dam and my buddy took a shot at 53yds and missed low. We then went down to waters edge and waited for 30 mins, but he wouldn't come back up. Finally decided to take him swimming at 25yds. Looked like a great shot and thought I hit him in the neck as I watched the arrow sink. Me and a buddy rowed out to have a look and we passed my arrow and could only see the fletching about a foot underwater, so thought I had grazed it. Reached down and pulled at the arrow stating "It's really stuck in the mud", but low and behold the beaver was still attached. Broadhead went in the back of the neck and lodged in the skull for an instant kill. My buddy that owns the land said it was the coolest bow shot he had ever seen, so that was a good confidence booster for Sept 1st!

Hahaha along the lines of what I was thinking. I figured bear because of the story, but anything that's more desired than beaver
Makes me concerned for what north American hunter is out dropping with the bow lol
