U.S. reports world's first deer with COVID-19
The U.S. government said on Friday it had confirmed the world's first cases of COVID-19 in deer, expanding the list of animals known to have tested positive for the disease.The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported infections of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, in wild white-tailed deer in the state of Ohio, according to a statement.
The USDA has previously reported COVID-19 in animals including dogs, cats, tigers, lions, snow leopards, otters, gorillas and minks.
Worldwide, most animal infections were reported in species that had close contact with a person with COVID-19, according to the agency.

This is very bad news, the virus has been able to jump species, we'll never get it eliminated now (like rabies) vaccination (host resistance) is the only defense that we have. I wonder what is next?

Lockdown mandate for all deer is needed. Hunting season is cancelled only for deer. Wearing orange only attracts the covid. More deer need to be shot to give them the new vaccine.

Old news, Michigan announced a month ago that 67% of deer tested came up as positive. Another proof that all the measures taken are pointless, it's widespread and we'll have to live with it, just like the flu.
