Oh god, can't the rumor mill threads stay in the general section, no point to have them here as well. MOST OVER TALKED ABOUT TOPIC EVER!

I heard it was getting built in Calgary on the north side of Cross Iron (opposite side of Bass Pro)

Personally i don't know why they wouldn't put it in Edmonton. Makes the most sense to me.

#1- it ain't going to Calgary
#2 - it ain't going to Red Deer
#3- Edmonton would be the logical choice
#4- I don't really care!!, unless they put it in Mustang's back yard....that would be cool!!...wonder if it'll be the floating one on a man made lake there?????...just sayin' what I heard!

Who cares where it is going . No matter where it goes most of us will go there, yes I would prefer Edmonton, but it doesn't matter where it is. Just my 2 cents worth.

I don't care where they build it I just hope the fishing section isn't as big a disappointment as the one in Bass Pro. Man I was excited when that store opened - & felt so burned when I left the first time

Isles of useless open-eyed spinner baits, generic shallow running crankbaits, rattle traps (which I have not caught a fish on in 32yrs), & a Rapala display which is split-up between 2 different isles 100ft apart & less selection than Fishin' Holes. Not to mention 1/2 of the cool lures, rods, & reels listed on the website are not even carried or offered to be ordered in by this store

Anyway, go Cabelas go!!!!

I agree, BPS in Calgary doesn't have the greatest selection to accomodate Alberta fisherman and i heard they are working on making it better. The set up itself is pretty nice though, i've been to BPS in both Houston and Oklahoma City and i think Calgary's is by far the nicest.

Bass Pro is a nice place to visit once, other than that not much of anything in there. Had given to me $350 worth of gift certificates for there. Hardest thing was trying to find something to spend them on as they do not carry the good stuff from their catalogues there. But why should I be surprised, cause anything to do with Calgary is a disappointment!

1. If you think Cabelas is going to be any better, your mistaken. Both of these stores have catalogues, and both dont have every product listed in said catalogue. However, either will order in for you. BPS has for me.

2. Their Catalogue covers a bazillion stores in different markets, you really expect everything under the sun to be there?

3. Its american big box stores doing what they do best, shock and awe, other than that, whatever, a store is a store.

BPS, Cabelas, Wholesale, Fishin' Hole... Who friggin cares as long as its the best price.

Oh, and don't puit Favre on the same level as the CFL... Thats a complete joke!

Its not bad mouthing a football legend... Its bad mouthing the beer league that is the CFL. The CFL has a low talent pool, watching it is like trying to hold a conversation with someone from Alabama or some other southern state. Er hyuk!

Oh Hahaha. The CFL really isnt bad football. I went to a Grey cup game in winnipeg a few years back. -25 and the stadium was packed. If its -2 in america the announcers are calling it a blistery day.
