Default Are the lakers still shallow at this time of year?

I'm heading to grist for the weekend and just wondering if anyone has any good info about it, just curious if I'm going to need planers or downriggers now.

If you are a Fish Hunter Pro, shouldn't you know the answer?

They'll probably be down deeper by now, but don't worry about the downriggers, three way swivel rigs with 6-10 ounces of weight are much more effective for fishing lakers on the Canadian Shield.

I was up north of Fort Mac two weeks ago and we caught some on surface with no weight bu thammered them at abouot 30' with 4 Ounce wieght. Silver and Blue Apex's were the killer lures on that trip. I would guess they are hanging in the same depths at this time....right at the depth where its hard to decided between downriggers or weight in my opinion.

Good luck.

So the weekend went well, took a 1 day to find the fish but once we were on them it went well. They were already in the deepest hole in the lake hitting around 25-30ft down. Couldn't even get a sniff in the shallows.
