Default Are the NSR goldeyes still here?

Just wondering if there are any goldeyes/mooneyes still around Edmonton right now?

Got a few the other day just downstream of the city. I would suspect they will be around for another week or two.

Yeah, they're still around...see them surfacing quite a bit still. They seem to be feeding mostly on the surface now, and they're not going for the usual lures that work on them. Your best bet is a fly rod, or if you're like me and don't do the fly thing, you can use a fly behind a casting bobber.

thanks, I'll give it a go this week...I just discovered how effective goldeye on the fly is, and loads of fun.

I always cleaned up on a worm dangled a foot below a bobber on surface-feeding goldeye.
