Default Monster (fat) walleye !

Took out a buddy today and he hooked into an absolute tank lol what a pig, it was coughing up minnows the whole way in then all over the boat lol. By far the fattest walleye I've ever seen! Got a weight on it before it was safely released and unfortunately it just missed the 10lb mark come Fall when the eyes are fat and full of eggs this girl will explode lol

It had the craziest gnarled and thick lips, I'm guessing it was an old fish.

Beauty eye!
When you say come fall and full of eggs, are you referring to whitefish eggs?

Yeah, and why is it holding a giant spring salmon? So weird.

Hey flux, Sylvan or Gull...?? We have been at Gull since Wednesday and fishin was great.

Tons of pike and the walleys were hit and miss, until you found them, then look out...

That lake is turnin into some great walleye fishin... maybe not like pigeon yet, but the size of fish are unreal... we live close and fish gull all the time..

Takes a bit to find em, but a lot of fun..

These were at Gull, sylvan lake has been exceptional for decient size & numbers. Gull is on average better size but I only usually catch maybe 8-12 walleye a day in there and can easily do that in 45min at sylvan. I hope the no keep policies stay in place for both, I see fish cops on gull checking out guys all the time so that's a good deterrent for poaching. The other day they had a dog sniffing out boats for hidden fish! I have NEVER seen that before.

Not sure on a length, it was shaped like a largemouth bass with a huge head lol they don't get much healthier than that ! That's my buddies whole hand on the tail one finger is behind the fin, even the fins were huge! I don't think this guy gets much longer ?
