Default Typical insurance coverage on lease roads

Anyone know what the deal usually is with accidents on lease roads? More specifically hitting the ditch and going through insurance (or trying to)?

no different than any other accident. Its just like going off the road into a barrier in the city.

Default Accident

Your insurance company will help you more than we can.

I know I have had many close calls with logging trucks over years on trapline. Not much fun having to take the ditch to avoid them.

If you crashed… your insurance company has your answers.

Just be forewarned… when you call your insurance company and say… hey I had a crash… how much will my insurance go up if I claim it…

They record the accident on your file regardless.

When you have a question about your insurance

call them and ask if they have a department set up for

Claims advice ........ ask your question

with my insurance they told me they don't record the incident

But you know you can always "ask for a friend"

We have had trucks go into a ditch, or involved in some sort of accident on a regular basis over the 10 years I worked in the patch. NEVER had an issue with insurance.

I realize maybe it depends on coverage, but I've also NEVER heard of an insurance company denying coverage citing a condition of denial to be related to a leased road.

I could maybe see if someone went off roading or onto the ice - but a leased road is a regulated/permitted improvement - and requires permitting (a impact and watershed assessment or, at the very least, an open license to a specific area).

Yeah I know cowboys punch roads into sites, but those site licenses include access and improvements.
