Default Is it good?

Hey all,
I'm heading out to Pegion Lake this weekend to the family cabin. We have waterfront property, so if the pier gets put in, I'd like to do some casting off the dock.

At this time, is the water safe to harvest pike, if by stroke of luck I do harvest one or 2, is it safe to clean and eat? Or is this water not quality for some reason ei: blue Alge.

I am new to fishing, and have only gone out a few times the last few years, so maybe it's much adu about nothing, but I thought I should ask around.

Any advice of lures would be awesome to.

Thanks a bunch,

Herc.

Check your regs as fish have to be over 100 cm's which are not very common.

I fish the lake regularly and have only caught 1 in the last few years that was legal. Mind you I target quantity not quality.

My kids fish off the dock lots but have never been close to legal limit.
