Good luck, Keg. If you've got heart troubles Edmonton is a good place to be. Been there, done that.

Thanks for posting this Patty, just saw it. Had lunch with Jim at Sportsman show here a couple years back, hope it goes really good for him in Edmonton. If Jim and Ken want to do a pit stop in GP on the way home, I'd be happy to meet up and buy dinner. Let me know.

Does he need anything dropped off at the hospital? Can I take him a book or some magazines? Or anything at all he can pass some time with? Just let me know.

My prayers and thoughts are with you both, Keg and Patti. We live in amazing medical times and are so fortunate to have world class heart doctors in Edmonton. Have faith. I had a stent put in in what seemed like minutes. I was sent home 2 days later.

IF Jim is admitted for a few days, I would visit Jim in a few days if he is up for company. Haven't met but have had good conversations.

Depending if he will be there a few days, one thing hospitals don't supply is deodorant, shaving items and soap/shampoo. Those items do help a man keep his dignity when he's on the mend. (And this isn't about vanity, it's about self respect.) And one thing that drove me mad when I had to spend the couple days there on ward was that every patient has a monitor that is constantly beeping and every so often there are other audio alarms going off. 24/7. So a pair of good ear plugs would be good.

If Keg is going to be staying a few days I could definitely take him the items I mentioned if he would like.

Thank all of you for your offers. I am keeping a list to remember who offered what AND if anything is needed trust me I will contact you. THIS site is great for supporting each other and I applaud all of you in that.

I finally got some supper. I think the dog, Bonney, (who adores Jim) has finally decided that Dad must be off to a gun show or off fishing....at least she is content.

The wife is gonna try to dig her car out tomorrow so I am not driving that new-to-Keg truck up and down the road - made me nervous as anything driving it a half hour home from the hospital in Manning today.

So that is my task then try to get enough done to get me out so I can still get to Church on time tomorrow. Wishing I was 20 years younger about now..... BUT all is well here at home and I know they have Keg taken care of at the Royal Alex.

THANK YOU once again to all of you who have offered support and physical help. Prayers are appreciated too. HUGS to all of you from me and Keg.

Keg.. sorry to hear your under the weather, glad you are where you need to be though... we are to far away to offer any physical help, but I read above somewhere that prayers are welcome... so that’s what I can offer, prayers and good thoughts for you both.. get better now please!
