I made it out there yesterday, guys. Coal is still pretty slow for some reason. We managed 3 nice jacks with the biggest at 8 pounds. We had a delicious fish fry with the one we kept in the garage when we got home over a few beers. How did you guys make out there?

Our biggest yesterday was 26" , missed quite a few bites, but sure had a blast when it warmed up a tad from the morning. We were at Coal as well.

I honestly think things are slow due to the amount of snow on the ice as it restricts the amount of light to light the ice and water, secondly I think water clarity is down in the tubes big time . Im uncertain why the water is so murky .

I have been told that if there is a large snow cover on the ice the light does not penetrate through the ice and the plants simply rot or if you would like decompose due to lack of photosynthesis, that also depletes the water out of the oxygen and then we have the winter kill occuring.
I think this year it's gonna hit hard and that sux.

Cheers !
