Default Ghost Lake Burbot

after a slow day on the ghost...as normal, I looked down my hole to see this guy taking my lure. After quite the show we landed him and it was high fives all around. Thanks to the boys for the infamous arm soaking to get er' done. 9 1/2 lbs. and 36 inches on the nose. Also had a neat birthmark 1/2 way down the body on the one side.

Arm soaking? Were you using the swirl method? Didn't think it would work for burbs since I heard they were bottom feeders.

caught him on 8 feet of water, and the soaking comes from the arm going down the hole to help propell the fish into the air.

dfrobert- it had nothing in its stomach and it was quite lean for a burb. do they get skinny from the spawn? it looked like it could have been way fatter, and ya, getting it up the hole was interesting!

Its always fun pulling a big burb up the hole, seems like they kind of plug up the hole and you bring up a bunch of water as well. Which ghost lake were you at?
