Post Cz 858

A few weeks ago I purchased a czech made CZ 858 chamberd in 7.62x39.

Im looking for any one who has had experiance with this rifle or an other of equlivant caliber; How dose it shoot at 100,200,300 yards (im looking for group measurments not "pretty well", How long dose it last/has anyone ever had any problems, any advice for chooseing an optic? and lastally has anyone hunted with this rifle before. Im aware that it has enough stopping power to handle mostally any thing that we in alberta can rifle hunt but are there any kinds of game i should avoid useing this rifle to hunt? looking forward to distroying gophers with some FMJ surplus ammo

Hopefully going for a range test tommorow fingers crossed

I have had one for almost a year. Never shot for groups but I'm impressed. Mine probably doesn't look like yours anymore. I have changed almost everything on it.

Follow the above link to Canadian GunNutz and the Red rifle forum and you will find tons and tons of info. If you can't find any specific answers,do a search.

These rifles are lots of fun and scare the crap out of liberals. Totally legal though.
