Default Gopher hunting with the Hoyt VTec

Well, had a ball hunting gophers on Saturday just south of Vegreville....although the weatherman needs to get a better $250 million dollar satellite as his forecasting sucked bad this weekend. Cool and wet, no sunshine to speak of. Still had a good target turnout on Saturday.

Used the .17 HMR most of the day, first time using it on gophers. Very, very fun and deadly accurate. Then used the 870 shottie for fun (my 13 yr old daughter was shooting with me too, first time for her, and she shotgunned one too! But only one)...

And then shot a half dozen with the bow using 125 gr varmint blunts. All I can say is, that was really fun, but a bit messy.....

I won't post pics, as they are a bit graphic. But just trust me.
