first walleye for my youngest daughter
After school today we headed out to the lake to check on the guys in the big cabin, and decided we may as well fish for an hour in the smaller cabin.
It was extremely windy out but we had a decent little bit of action - landed 3 and missed three or four more strikes.
But for sure the highlight was my youngest daughter catching her first walleye ever! She had caught a few pike over the past couple years, but this girl is NOT one for patience, and she has not ever had a walleye on! But she got a good strike, set the hook and pulled this chunky walleye up 28 feet all by herself!
She was so excited I love this!

Nothing better then watching your kids catch fish and the look on their faces as they reel them in. Congrats and thanks for posting the pics.

The first is always so special, and not easy with their patients level.
My girl brought this baby in 100% by herself. I was trying to set her up with a lil one but it didn't work. About 5 mins later she got this one all by herself. Took me a couple seconds to realize she really did have one. lol

That is awesome!
As a young woman I can say my fondest memories are of my Dad taking me out fishing just like you did with your little girl. Trust me when I say those memories stick close and mean a lot later on. Keep taking her, she will grow out of the lack of patience

Very nice, great color. Look at the handling too, I'd say she's a natural. 8-)

Great pics guys, the smiles say it all.
OF, I had to smile, when my daughter does come out fishing she has to wear her favorite shirt and the hair has to be 'just right' before I am allowed to take any pics
