Default Autochart pro

New update for Autochart Pro.:

Autochart Pro (Version 2016.1)
Release Date: 03/30/2016

Description:

New Features:

Import/Export of AutoChart Live data – AutoChart Live data can now be imported or exported from AutoChart PC. This means that AutoChart Live data recorded on HELIX, ONIX, or ION can be imported into AutoChart PC. It also means that any file type that can be imported into AutoChart PC can now be exported as AutoChart Live data. For example, a .SON file can be imported into AutoChart PC and then exported as AutoChart Live data.
Additional file format import support – The following additional file types can now be imported:
Humminbird sonar logs (.dat)
Humminbird sonar logs (.son)
Humminbird tracks (.ht)
AutoChart Live Files (.acu)
DrDepth Files (.drd)
Google Earth (.kml)
GPS eXchange format (.gpx)
Data/text files (.txt)
CSV files (.csv)
ESRI shape files (.shp)
NMEA 0183 log (.log)
eXtended Triton Formal XTF (.xtf)
Bottom Hardness Layer Creation – A bottom hardness layer can now be created using sonar data. This layer can be exported to a Zeroline card and displayed as a Baselayer or Overlay on HELIX and ONIX units. •
Deep Water Mode for custom LakeMaster maps – This new feature adjusts the spacing of the contour lines on the generated map to be better suited for displaying deep water bathymetry.
Image (IMG) Layer Creation (PRO VERSION ONLY) – Image (IMG) Layers (.png, .bmp, jpeg) can now be imported along with a .kml calibration file and exported to a ZeroLine card for display on HELIX and ONIX units.
SonarLab (PRO VERSION ONLY) – Sonar files can now be opened directly alongside a mini-map and edited or corrected before being used to create bathymetry, AutoChart Live, Lakemaster, or overlay data.

General Fixes:

Fixed and/or updated several translation issues.
Updated the QuickStart guide with new information.
Fixed an issue where Live Draw was saving files as Dr. Depth files instead of AutoChart PC files.

Ive heard mixed reviews, is the autochart fairly user friendly or is it painful to learn to use? Gettin it either way, but would be nice to know.

Pretty sure he's paid to make this video, but it's still a good watch.

Lowrance
Insight Genesis has free community based mapping and a paid version that you can keep private. Lowrance does the work.

Navionics has a community based mapping system as well. They do the work.

Humminbird has a PC program- Autochart and Autochart pro. You do the work and the information is yours to keep private or share.

Humminbird Autochart Live is on select units and gives realtime mapping. Can now share with Autochart Pro and other units.

ReefMaster - Pc program, you do the work.

I got autochart pro when it first came out, spent the whole summer mapping every weekend. I accumulated soooo much data just to have it all corrupt in the fall.
I'm going Lawrance...

Autochart Live requires no knowledge except to turn it on when you want to map and turn it off when you are done mapping. It saves the data to your zerolines cards automatically.

There is something magical about trolling over structure and watching a map for right before your own eyes .....

In terms of sharing/saving and protecting your data - it's really no different than anything you might have on your PC at home.

I find myself staring at the screen ...... lol

Deadly, thanks. I've been looking at sonar/gps units for the whole winter now, I've made my mind up on the Helix 7 SI, gonna move the lowrance to the bow of the boat.

Autochart Live is software built in to select humminbird units.

Zero lines card is a Humminbird SD card(needed for AutoChart, AutoChart Pro and AutoChart Live.

ACL only works with ZL card, reg SD card will not work.

Ok right on and thanks, I tried using autochart live on my helix 10si the other day and though it seemed like it was doing something, I couldn't zoom in on the maps and see any contours.

Do any of the auto chart options include base maps? Or is it all start from scratch? I realize there is next to nothing for our lakes either way (Lakemaster) but I'm headed to LOTWS in a few weeks and I'm looking for the best solution.

I currently have the latest Navionics Plus updated this weekend but it won't utilize the
"Follow the Contour" feature of my
Humminbird 959ci hd di and i-Pilot Link enabled Terrova.

Cheers,

Scott.

Default Autochart PC Sample Files Wanted

I just purchased a Helix 7 and Autochart PC. I would like a few local .ht files to try from Alberta and/or Saskatchewan. Please attach on thread if you are able to share.

I am pretty handy with computers. If you are having difficulty with making maps or need help with anything related to the process I will get it figured out and give you a hand.
