Anyone still baiting bears?

Went out to the shop today and the freezer quit running..... not sure when and lost 3 boxes of deer smokies, sticks and sausages. Really sick about the whole thing but I figured the meat might go to some good.

PM if you want it and I live 10 minutes east of Beaumont for pick-up.

Sorry to hear that. Happen to my family about 20 years ago. Had half a moose still in the freezer. Found the freezer dead.

Yeah, it was all our summer camping meat.

Before I hang onto this stuff any longer, can anyone tell me if "meat" is a good bear bait? If it is not preferred or ever used, I will haul the boxes to the dump today.

Yes sir, that stinky meat will make a very nice bear attractant.
I would be happy to take it off your hands for you as i would use it this coming season, but I am out in the bush working until the end of next week and we wouldn't even be talking about this if you had a freezer to keep it in until then.

It's good bait. Most people have wrapped up by now. Maybe some fall baiting keeners that would like some....
