Default Cold Lake Tournament

Hey guys. I’ve registered for the Cold Lake Tournament in June. I’ve never been in a derby before. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Wink

Be prepared for all types of weather, pre fish areas, watch the forecast and have areas that produce fish and can if needed shelter you from the wind.

Just have fun.

Ohh and the guy in the kayak is gonna win

Learn how to enter a fish on the app, it’s not that hard once you use it. Yes , phone charger, lots of area with no service. Follow the rules , they are a little more forgiving this year as to photo requirements. Know your boats limitations. We were taking waves over the sides coming in the first day , 12 mile run in 4-5ft waves leaves you went even in a 20fter. Be prepared to change techniques till you find something that works. Extra dry clothes the most important thing is get along with your partner and have fun !

I believe there is a way to practice but can’t remember. Yes , don and I were nervous too, and it showed, launching first day we forgot our “routine” forgot one back strap on trailer and snapped transducer off back. Bring gorilla glue lol. We settled down , did what we do and it all worked out in the end.
