Got our bull on the second morning of our hunt. Friends of ours got theirs a few days earlier. Defenitley alot of hunting traffic in there and the all day quad rule doesnt help much. Saw a fair amount of game but think I will be exploring some new territory next year. 900 moose tags in one zone is kind of sickening...
Amount of hunters was brutal. Used to go and it would be rare to run into another group. Now people are tripping over each other, not my idea of fun especially with some of the hoolagans out in the bush. 900 moose tags is not sustainable and srd will find out that it will only speed up the decline of the little smoky caribou herd. Like many on this forum have said the wolves don't care if its moose or deer or caribou. If they have the chance they will kill it.
The reason I was curios ,is that about five years ago my rig was
down the simonette rd by deep valley creek.I had never seen so many moose in my life,huge bulls. Never seen any caribou though.
