Thumbs up

Was it a 30" trout? I've lost a bunch of those...

Seriously, though, thanks for making an effort to get whatever you found back to it's rightful owner...

First off, this is probably my most embarrassing first post on a forum EVER...

I suppose it would depend on if you found stuff BY the bow or IN the bow.

Saturday (April 21) I was out for a pontoon float of the section between Douglasdale and Policemans flats with a friend from Red Deer that had brought down his pontoon boats but had forgotten his rod holders for the boats at home.

To make a long story short, I may have inadvertently donated a rod to the river gods. So if you happened to find a TFO 5/6 weight rod rigged up with an orange thingamabobber, an atomic worm, and another nymph suspended below the worm then chances are I owe you a few cases of beer for being honest enough to try to find the rightful owner.

Did you post on the lost and found section in kijiji? That's probably a popular place for people to look.

I know the Canmore RCMP holds items for 30 days before donating to a charitable cause.

ive been scanning kijiji regularly, I dont want to post what i found because its something any fisherman/woman would love to have. I suspect whom ever lost these items definatly wants them back. Hopefully they are looking! or post an add on kijiji.

Was thinking we should start a guessing game . . . *lol*
Let's see in the past year I loaned a brand new knife that never got returned, and a random log stole a lure or 20.

If you are really serious with finding the person you could always put notices up where you found them (or near access points, etc.), as well most if not all of the shops around town have message/notice boards... You don't have to go into detail as to what you found but just to call you if they lost anything near a specific area/spot?!

The only thing I'm aware of is a buddy that lost a 3 wt St. Croix fly rod and Islander Reel!! And there are already posts referring to them on both boards...

The thing is i put in the title i found it on the bow.. But heres some additional info...

Found near policemans flats, i also stated for them to message me on here.

now if someone has a member name on the calgary flyfishing forum please could you make a post stating that some expensive gear was found near this area and that i can be reached through this forum... I dont really want to post my number on the internet.

I think ive done my part.
