Hey good job moosehunter! That's the exact size of pike you want for eating but that's a pretty small one for gull, lol. I'm glad you aren't like most of the morons out there who are keeping big pike. I've noticed you guys are killing a pile of whitefish, are they good eating? I don't care for them much but I just see you guys are always keeping your limit so you must be cooking them a different way. Care to give me your secret?

fillet them instead of gutting and cook them with fish crisp in hot oil. Good stuff

We also fillet them and do a various amount of ways to cook them up. We do smoke quite a few also and man they are great with a few Cold Ones. Really they are a great eating fish.

I prefer whitefish over Lakers for sure. That fishcrisp is in the fishing section of South Walmart.Similar to shake+bake. This is nice with burbot pieces fried in olive oil.The burbots were small and not biting at all wierd considering they were interfering with the hooks when we were targeting whites the last month or so.Hell it's all good sport................Harold *last ice rainbows next 2-3 weeks

Hey Pioneer not sure which walmart you are reffering to? I will try that next time I'm at a walmart, maybe keep some whitefish next weekend but the trout have been going really good at struble these past couple of days and I found a shoal where some of the really big boys like to cruise.
