Default Biggest perch

Haven't caught a perch over 12inches in 5+ years, used to catch monsters in Ontario. Just wondering what are the members personal perch records. Mine is 14inches, from a lake on Manitoulin Island Ontario(island is that big lump on lake huron in maps)

Biggest Perch I have ever caught or seen came out of a lake up north, and when they were put in the kitchen sink the head touched one side, and the tail went up on the other side 2-3". It was the first time I had ever sight fished, and I was about 6. After that I just thought that was how big perch were all the time. Little did I know we probably caught and ate an Alberta record, one day I will get back to that lake though. Just wish the old man would've taken some pics...

I am going to explore travers alot this year. There is so many places to find fish that it is pretty much endless. I have caught walleye, pike, burbot, and whitefish out of there but never have had the chance at perch yet. My biggest to date was somewhere between 12-13" caught from my favorite lake in southern alberta. It is nice and quiet most of the time there so I won't give any names but quite a few guys already fish it for perch, walleye, and pike.

14.5 inches is my personal best, it was a male and weighed in at 1lb 12oz. The same lake this last weekend my dad caught his personal best , a 15 inch female weighing in 2lb 3 oz. Sure nice to see a humpback on the ice every now and then,

My biggest was 16 inch and 2.2 lbs... but that was in Europe where perch can grow to 8 lbs so that is not even considered a trophy.

My personal best is about 11.5" but I'm hoping to upgrade in that department this winter. My brother caught the biggest perch I have personally seen yet; 13.5" it looked like striped tank! That was when we used to nail 10"-12" perch on Burnstick Lake regularly about 25 years ago.

the european perch can get up to 10+lb's but the yellow perch we have here in canada will never even come close to weighing that much.

Default many 2 pound plus from Missawawi

Mecca delivered many 15 inch perch in the day. I have caught some equally big perch in Slave off of Cutbank in February - March.

Once in a while Utikima gives up a gooder. Some times lots of gooders.

Default Caught some beauties back then

As a kid,my family used to target big perch all the time. Now that I'm down south, i can't find any perch short of park lake by lethbridge.

Babtiste lake used to have 14 to 15 inchers....... One day my buddy and i tied into a school of humpbacks right off his neighbors dock.

cash lake used to be awesome as well.

I miss perch fries... All we got down here are crummy trout and pike!

My goal is to have a burbot fry this weekend!

Used to catch many 14 inchers out of Cow Lake west of Rocky over ten years ago. That was before it was common knowledge they existed. Biggest ever for me came from there it was 15.5 inches long caught while trout fishing with a small panther martin spinner! We anchored and ended up catching over 70 perch that afternoon all on spinners and jigs with no bait what so ever. Smallest was maybe 8 inches and a perch under 10-11" wasn't worth keeping then.

Man I miss those days.
