I'm glad I'm out in BC and couldn't watch this debacle. This team continues to impress me with ways that they can disappoint me

That is pretty funny. Name one point this season (now nearly half done) where the oilers have had fewer points than the flames.

I won't bring up the past, that's just an unfair thing to do to a flames fan.

Most of my family are Canuck fans to the point that I can barely stand them during hockey season.

No excuses here. The Flames flat out suck

Phew.....I'm glad that it's on Sunday so we don't have to watch it on HNIC. Maybe LA will wear down the Nucks on Saturday night for the Flames on Sunday.

Ya maybe we should try and recruit Kevin Lowe from Coil town and maybe even the "Clumsy One" then we would surely be on the road to greatness..

At least we all can see you cant be a day older than 16 because your posts continue to be beyond absurd. Bettman needs to sign off on any moves any team in the nhl is trying to make relocation wise, and he would never move one of the most successful franchise ops in the league. Katz absolutely cares about the oilers. he also cares about his bank account, like every other well made businessman. Cant blame him for that.

ONCE AGAIN.....provide substance to your posts. show us oiler fans why calgary has absolutely ANYTHING going for them. Im honestly asking you to show me the light.

I will now look forward to logging back in a few hours and seeing the multiple flames fans and there responses such as "yeah well....yeah oilers suck" and "yeah yeah yeah .....well im taking my ball and going home so you guys cant play"

LOL Listen, I like Mutter. He's a good guy. But his grasp of history (particularly hockey history) does suggest someone a bit younger, as in not around when the Flames owners put the gun to the city's head in 1994 and demanded the city pay for Saddledome upgrades they wanted or else. Every bit as tough as anything Katz has done.

Every year us flames fans come back with this cautious optimism that this year will be the year that we turn things around and every year we get the same result... a mid table, mediocre finish and a bunch of devastated, passionate fans. It breaks my heart. we have, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest hockey markets in the world, we show up as fans every year to cheer our hearts out for our boys, and every year we are served the same disappointing, 2 spots out of the playoffs, "next year we'll make it" season. We change coaches, GM's, we trade players (however we fail to make worthwhile acquisitions, just menial ones) and every year we are served the same dish of mediocrity. Something needs to change, be it a rebuild, ownership, i don't know because I'm not a hockey/business expert, but enough is enough. Flames fans give their team their all, the flames need to start giving something back.

When's the Blue Jays opening day again?

Sincerely,

Jaded Calgary Flames fan.

Again, hard to be a Flames fan, one disappointment after another.
Almost as bad, seeing some posts by other fans on this thread.
Maybe mutter will be heading up north soon, with no Inet service.

Alot of things need to change in Flames land , glad its a short season can't take much more of this BS.

Get tired of Oiler fans always harping about how poorly Flames management has done with regards to the draft, yet when you look into the Oiler lineup you see 14 1st rounders 3 of which are #1's and the end result is that they are currently no better off than the Flames, I wouldn't be bragging about how well Coiler management has drafted over the years in fact I'd be a little embarrassed..
