Default Stove Pipe setup.

I have orders a 14x16 deluxe tent from Deluxe wall tents and it comes with the stove pipe hole in the wall. How do most or you with this setup up have it piped? I have seen it with 2-45 degree fittings or with just the 90 degree inside the tent. Is on better than the other?

out the side or out the roof,,have used both and definately prefer out the roof.. Stove supports the straight up chimney and dampner. not sure why they build a side discharge tent???

Does it allow you to put the stove tighter to the wall in a larger tent? Only advantage I can think of.

It takes a 90 degree elbow inside the tent and one on the outside with a pole for a brace. Never had a problem getting a good draft. With the stove pipe out the side you can put a tarp over your tent unimpeded. Makes for a good set-up

I've got the Deluxe 16X20 tent with the hole out the wall. Last year we used a 90 off the stove, damper and then then 2 more joints of pipe out the wall and then a 90 to take the pipe up so it was just above the peak. It almost seemed like the 90 restricted a smooth roll of smoke up and out and couldn't get a hot enough fire roaring to keep the creosote to minimum. Gonna use 2 - 45's this year and hope that solves our problem.

I was thinking that 2 45's would be the better way to set it up so that a draft would start easier.
