2008 Crestliner Fishhawk SC16. Picture from 2009.

Has a Motorguide Xi5 on the bow now, a few rubs marks, scratches and beer stains and a rock guard on the front. Like to upgrade the motor to a 75 or 90 from the 50 on it now. Going to work one more year then retirement which means Ojibway Provincial Park here I come. Lac Seul, Minnitaki, Big and Little Vermilion Lakes, Botsford Lake, Deception Lake and so many more. Walleyes, muskies, pike, lakers and smallies, oh me oh my, let the good times roll.

I bought this one last year, Lund Rebel 1750 XS Sport, 115 HP Merc 4 stroke, Lowrance Elite 5, Minn Kota Powerdrive V2.

Over the winter, We put a full top on it, I got a smokin deal on a Humminbird Onix 8 SI and will be installing a new Terrova with I-Pilot before the ice is out of Lake of the Woods.

Beautiful boat. Where did you get it from? Welcome to Team Alumacraft. I picked mine up late last summer and love it.

Hey thanks. I got it at boat mart in Red Deer. They were really good to deal with. Seems like a well thought out little boat!

Very nice boats.

I kinda like the idea of those side consoles, it sure makes for a lot more fishing room in a 16-17' boat.

The only thing is, I'd have to be the driver at all times!

I built this boat last winter, and found this antique jet motor. I'm hoping to try the NSR this summer.

This will be my first year with a side console after having a full windshield boat. I am excited for the extra fishing room, but if the weather turns I will miss my roof. We will see how it goes but I think the extra fishing room will be worth it.

Very nicely done

A word of caution though.

With a small jet such as that one you have there, you will get down the river just fine but when coming back into the current you may not have enough power in that small jet. NSR as most rivers have a lot of power even when their low. I would suggest doing the test with another boat handy for sure.
Hate to see you get into a wreck on that river!!

Be mindful and good luck..

princecraft pontoon.jpg

our new Princecraft 21-2S Sportfisher. Not the greatest dedicated fishing setup but overall the best boat we've ever owned! Upgraded to a 115hp Merc and she has no problem pulling a skier or a biggin tube! The fuel consumption is awesome! stock photo.

Thought I'd bump this to the top now that the season is fully underway.

I did a couple mods to mine this spring.

The biggest one was adding a seat pedestal on the rear casting deck so I had a fully functional "rigging command center" at the back lol. I generally like to stand, but having the option to park my butt in a comfy chair is pretty sweet.

I added the Extreme Max Slider Trax system for mounting tool holders, cup holders, rod holders, etc... It's essentially the same thing as Lund's Sportrak system (in fact the brackets are interchangeable). Fully customizable so everything is movable and right within arm's reach, nice clean finish, and very strong.

I also had a custom travel tarp made by SewWut that is just awesome, I couldn't be happier with it. Annette does amazing work.

I finally got around to doing some prop testing too and ended up settling on the Rev 4 for all around handling and performance.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone else has been up to on the new boat front this spring...

I picked this 2013 MirroCraft 3673 Laker boat up a few years ago ( Sept 2014) from Europa Canopy In Edmonton, was his demo boat. Was only used 2 x ! I bought just the boat and upgraded to a galvanized trailer. There was no motor, he had a 20 hp on it, and I thought that would be to anemic, so I put a 2015 50 hp tohatsu 4 stroke on it, and it runs out awesome with that set up, and very cheap on fuel! I put a bimini top on it. I added a rockgard system for the bow for hauling. It continues to be a work in progress, this past fall I had a custom travel snap tarp made, along with a custom padded liner for the storage compartment, and a full length engine cover.
I want to possibly make a splash well, not sure if I will need that with the 20" leg though?! Next I would like to make and install a electric anchor system, and electric trolling motor!

Default Trackstar mounts

Personally - I wouldn't use the sport track to mount anything more than a rod holder. Although it supposed to be fine - it just didn't "feel solid enough" when considering you have a 10-20 lead ball hanging off a arm dangling over the side of the boat as the waves pitch you around.

Here's what the sport track mount looks like ........

.........really doesn't inspire confidence for me .........

(you can see a perfectly solid gunnel there with a nice wide flat and strong surface, so why not use it?)

Look at the Trackstar mounts they look much more solid.
