Homemade stands. Trash or treasure?

A guy I know is giving up bowhunting and has given me some stuff. Included are some treestands. I don't need them.
They are older and homemade. The welding is high quality and the stands are very sturdy. I actually have a couple from the same builder.

Part of me says to take them to the metal recycle. Another part says that they have lots of life and someone would be happy to use them. They would need new foam on the seat and maybe new cabling for peace of mind. New paint would be nice.

What say you guys? Scrap yard or sell?
