Rock Chips on new boat!
I recently purchased a new welded aluminum boat, the boat is too big for a travel cover. Does anyone have some suggestions on how to prevent rock chip on my boat. I'm travelling to BC lakes and this time of year the roads are terrible. I've only made one trip this year and there are numerous chips in the paint.
Thanks'

boat cover
U can hve 1/2 or 1/4 boat covers made to cover just the bow and bottom of the boat. Any canvas shop in town or boat supply store will do it or know where.

I have tried several including the screen that mounts on the boat trailer. I am now using a stone guard that hooks onto my hitch.
Can pick them up at any RV store, they use em all the time on motor homes.

I'd also say the Trailer Tux is the best I've seen. It is light weight, and it does protect your boat, plus the service you get from the guy is tremendous. Had a few brackets break from fatigue over time but one phone call and the guy sends you new ones and all you pay is shipping. He sends a few extras in case you need more. All in all it's a great product with great service and it's made in Canada. Can't go wrong with the Trailer Tux, no way!

Depending on size, im guessing $ 1,000 to 1,500. They also have the bottom apron that protects from the underside, not sure if thats an extra or included.

Rock Tamers.
Attaches to your hitch, protects anything you tow. I drove this weekend to the Arrows in BC and the boat was well protected.
$300 bucks at CTP in Calgary. Sometimes Costco stocks them.
