Default Gull Lake

Ok. Going to Gull Lake and staying at Brewers campground on Sept. long. Is it worth bring boat? (17 ft sylvan) Never been there. Can I launch with 26 ft motorhome? Is the water so low and not worth it? Thanks for all input.

Default Bring your boat.

You should be fine launching at the campground.

I'd definitely bring the boat - it's a big lake and some really prime spots can't be fished from shore. If you can pull it off, it's worth your while.

Well didn't take the boat. Lake is way down for sure. They had a sign that said no power loading on trailer. No matter. They were all day use people, all on one side of the dock at Brewers Campground launch. Guess the other side was for people camping. No one launched. LOL What a show it was.....
The launch was fairly easy and long enough, one at a time. Some were up to their shoulders holding onto the boat waiting to get a spot at the dock (one of the deepest spots). 50ft in either direction was knee deep. Manual load and unload. One of the best was loading a jet ski, single rider. After trailer backed in there were six of them lining it up on the trailer. One to hook up, 3 to steady it and 2 to wash it down. LOL 10 min. later they pulled it out. Some real peed off people waiting. Entertaining boat ramp antics at it's best. Not for me. Will try during the week. Oh ya for those who frequent or want to camp next year Brewers is going to become reserve and not first come first serve.

Why do they not allow you to power load the boat on to the trailer ?

My best guess would be it being so shallow some would power up so hard it would just did a big hole at the end of the launch ramp. I've seen some do just that.
