Default Question for the licensed plumbers - code for accessible bathtubs

Long story short. Our office (ground level) has been getting water damage from a condo unit (residential) above, recently. Issue was investigated and turns out the condo owners replaced their bathtub with an accessible tub (tub with a door). The condo owners are being coy saying the have no knowledge of any leaks but were vague when asked if they had some overflow when using the tub the first few times. The investigating plumber also reported that no additional floor drain was added when the accessible tub was installed, but was also hesitant to comment on whether an adjacent floor drain was a code requirement...

My question is: is it code to have to install a floor drain for an accessible tub in a condo unit? It's clear the owners didn't approach the condo association for the install in the first place, but there's also the question on plumbing code and lack of an adjacent floor drain.
