Do you have an example that is relevant? And an FYI, I have a background in marketing. It’s true.

You have owned your SG backpack for many years and have come to defend it. I see.

Just as CD has come to defend you as usual.

I will respectfully agree that your self marketing degree is superior to anything I, and likely anyone else on here, can claim.

Congrats on your new back pack.

I use the search function often. Filtering through this crap is always so annoying. Not sure why there is so much vitriol between you three but maybe take it elsewhere. I respect your experience with the packs we're talking about. Let's limit it to that....

Once I have a few weeks training at load with the Exo I'll be able to give a real world review.
It was word of mouth, not marketing that changed my mind from SG. Trusting a good source on that. Hope it fits!

Congrats on your new back pack.
Quit dodging the reality here. You seem to be offended that I haven’t chosen exo packs. I have nothing bad to say about them, but I prefer not to spend $1000 on a pack I don’t like the features of. I would expound on that, but the whining and sniveling would be too much to bear.

Like I said earlier, if you want some tips on packing meat in rough terrain my 14 year old son might could offer some insight. He could probably give you a tutorial in pack design as well. In fact I know he could.

Let's be honest. You have always liked what you have. Until you have something different.

Glad your son is learning your tricks of the trade.

I would use and buy another Mystery Ranch pack in a heartbeat. In a heartbeat. I would not use many others. Life lessons are born out of experience. Idiots demand their own.

Deer Hunter, have you packed any sheep out with your pack?

I'm not looking to get into this

I am looking into a good mountain pack and leaning towards MR. Looking to gleam all real world experience reviews before I spend the money.

Not yet. Only 2 moose, elk, bear, 2 wolves. I probably wore my pack for 25 days last year since I was off work. The ease at which it moves empty and the way the belt lumbar work together loaded is what makes the Exo much more comfortable that the previous MR NICE 6500 which I had for years prior. MR is bombproof and heavy. And uncomfortable for me.

Default 1 more vote for SG

This is my go to pack for 7-9 day hunts. It's a SG solo 3600ci with x curve frame. Load shelf adds another 2600ci and the lid is worth 500ci. Add a couple little pockets on the belt for 50ci

SG gun sling is super simple and just works.

The frame needs to be loaded to really make it work right and is certainly where I have seen this pack rise above others. The pack in the photo is 63lbs plus 6.7 lbs for rifle.

I have had 100 lbs in this pack and can tell you that the pack outshines the operator!

Good luck!

Dan

And the NICE frame is long obsolete.

DLP, I am assuming you are maxed with your 7-9 days of gear with the cubic inches you are running? Where do you put the meat?

Not directed at Charlie only but what makes a pack long obsolete?

Genuine curiosity

They replaced it with a newer frame years ago.

Lighter stronger more comfortable? Don't understand how it could be obsolete if it's doing the same purpose.

New technology renders it obsolete.

Do you have some pack experience you’d like to share?

Since its not made anymore, has been replaced with a new model, and is no longer for sale makes it obsolete.

Ok thanks. Had a hard time wrapping my head around how a pack could be obsolete.

I was wondering the same thing. Was looking at a NICE frame MR for sale for a decent price.

Is the new frame lighter, more comfortable or both?

It is lighter has a different belt and has built in load lifters.

The experience I've got with my pack is I like it and it works for me. Having said that you'd probably find fault with it.

Default Oh My!!!

A lot of fighting lately. I need a new pack, I brought a sheep out this year with a tiny asz Eberlestock that had no frame. Ended up with bags hanging off my neck to get that guy down.

So what packs are we saying are awesome?

Mystery Ranch ?? What one?
EXO???? WHat is that?

I want to carry 150lbs of awesomess, weight I don't care. Just strong. I want my body to bet the weak point.

Kifaru AMR is what a sheep guy told me. That a good choice?

When I bought tatoonka lashenkraxe v2 the reviews said it was a good strong pack. I've hardly used mine due to a medical issue diagnosed soon after I purchased it.
