Anyone fished Ochos Rios Jamaica?

Im headed to Ochos Rios Jamaica in 10 days and am gunna charter a fishing boat for half a day. Has anyone fished here before? If so how was it? And am I gunna be there the right time if year to catch marlin?

This is the best time for marlin. We were staying at the Sandals resort there and I went out for half a day with couple of the locals and we landed a black marlin about 220 lbs using a hand line. It was nuts. The 2 guys I went with were great. I they were'nt smoking ganga they were rolling it. Good times lol

Just the guys I want to be out on unfamiliar foreign seas with, responsible for my safe return....

Yup haven't done that again but fun at the time. Went with a real charter the next year

Lots of Lion Fish around the reefs that should be caught....Invasive species running rampant and making the reefs devoid of other fish.... 8(
