Your center serving is too thick.

What Lefty said.

I have had issues with some nockturnals in the past with consistency in the throat and groove of the nock. If they are all to tight, I would say your serving is to thick.

Good luck

These are a great invention! What is your experience in how long they will work until they won't light up anymore??

I shot a grouse once with an arrow with a Nocturnal on it and the arrow went clear through it and buried itself somewhere in never, never land. Went home that evening, came back the next day to hunt the same spot and found the arrow with the Nocturnal still glowing. Shot the same arrow for the rest of the season and the battery was still good.

I think the manufacturer says they last 20 hours.

You might also be nocking your arrows to aggressively, just make sure they click on. they have a little piece in the throat of the nock that gets pushed back into the nock to activate the light. If you push your arrow too strongly onto your string it will activate the nock prior to the shot.
