SoAB.

Those Chinook winds keep our snow accumulations pretty low. We got 6 foot drifts around the country, but plenty of bare ground too.

Speaking of ridiculous winds, I have some 5 year old shingles I need to fix...

And for any that are interested, that is my Savage Axis 22-250 with a new Boyd's prairie hunter stock on it. It shoots within a "minute of coyote", as you can see... I am shooting 55 grn Nosler Varmageddon. They did exactly what they were supposed to do. Little tiny hole going in, nothing left of her innards, no exit. Shot at a little over 100 yards.

It ain't the greatest rifle in the world, and there are a few more upgrades I'd like to make, but the new stock makes a HUGE difference. Lipstick on a pig...

She just happened to be trotting down the river in my direction as I was getting setup to do some calling. All I had to do was wait for her to get into range. At one point she started to make like she was gonna head up the opposite bank, but a few lip squeaks kept her moving forward.

Coyote #1. Ever. I was proud of myself.

Congratulations!

Lovely colour on that song Dog, to be sure. Very nice to learn of your calibre and projectile combination's on-Coyote performance. A little entrance hole, destroyed vitals nd no exit hole is great news and as good as it gets, indeed.
