Default Taxidermy prices inquiring

Im located in edmonton.
Im going to go out elk hunting this year and i want to get a head mount done if i get one im just wondering how much i need to save up for. I know it wont be cheap but it would be nice to have a ballpark figure in my head

So for a full head mount is it going to be like $3000?
Im sure the price varies based on the size of it and the condition the taxidermist recieves it in, and whatever they want to charge. So im just looking for a ballpark so i know what to save up.

Jack Cooke has done a number of heads for us and does an awesome job. He is semi retired and does it more because he loves to do it and like he says " it's in his blood ". For a shoulder mount elk he charges $1350. If you want to talk to him give me a pm and I will give you his contact info.

You just cursed yourself by planning the taxidermy before the elk is dead. Cows and calves for you from now on until you run around in the bush for a day in only your underwear that is on backwards and a rubber boot on your head yelling " hooka hooka cowa bunga" over and over again.

Good luck this fall.
