Default bow zone 210 getting smaller every year

I have been bow hunting around calgary for 26 years back then it was great, no problem getting permission and very few hunters. Now there are more hunters and alot less land to hunt, the city has expanded so much its killing whats left of the bow zone. Im not a 100% sure on this but I think the bow zone has the same outer boundaries that it had 25 years ago, canmore, calgary and mybe edmonton bow zones have shurnk to the point were there isnt much left. I think it time to expand theses zones take some of the pressure off of the farmers around the city. Every year I lose a spot to the city, I wish I could get them as fast as im losing them. Just my point of view

Default feeling your pain

We need to preach to Tom Foss. He's the regulations gurue for the ABA. If we can convince him to make a fuss then we might have a chance, but I agree completely and I have only been in the game for the last 10 years.

PLEASE do. I have a great spot that's 3km from the boundary. (And I think you mean 212, right?)

The post is referencing the Canmore Bow Zone (WMU 210) Edmonton Bow Zone (WMU 248) and the Calgary Bow Zone (WMU 212).

Pretty simple, get the municipalities to expand their anti-firearms zones and you will have a no brainer on expanding the bow zone. Otherwise, .........

If enough of the "urban farmers" get fed up with the invasion of wildlife a lobby to drop the firearms restrictions would allow the areas to open up to shotgun and muzzleloading - and that would be a good thing.
