Default I think I know the answer but I am going to ask anyway

My brother in law wants to go deer hunting. I pointed him in the direction to take the online hunter education course and take the test.

Assuming that he passes the test and can get a tag, he still doesn't own a rifle, although he does know how to use a rifle quite well.

I think I can take him hunting with me and let him borrow my rifle to fill his tag, as long as I am with him. Is that right?

You have to be in immediate control of the firearm, meaning you must be in a position to immediately take control of the firearm he is carrying.....
