Default Arrow spine?

I’ve got a box of Blackout 340 spine arrows and am shooting a Bear Truth 2 at 60# with 28” draw. Will I be under spine using 250gr. Field points and broad heads? I know I am over spine with 125gr. Heads, just want to make sure it is safe with 250gr. Heads.

Not sure if I worded my question wrong or if nobody knows the answer to this. I’ve checked a few online arrow spine calculators and charts, but they don’t have any information about using this heavy of arrow points on a compound bow.

Anyone?

If you are putting 250 grains up front, you will want to go to at least a 300 spine. A lot of the arrow manufacturer spine calculators don't account for this.

Thanks for the reply. Is there an arrow spine calculator that does account for heavy broadheads shot from a compound bow? Lots for recurves and long bows out there.

Check out Archers Advantage or Pinwheel software Spine Selector. Either option (or others) will allow you to adjust a lot of variables to find good spine fit.

You won't have penetration issues with that set up, good choice.

I have been shooting traditional archery for the last 8 years but my shoulder isn’t as good as it used to be, can’t hold at full draw very long. Figured I’d go back to compound and I have a ton of VPA broadheads, small game heads, field points, which is why I decided to get new arrows instead of new arrow points. I set up some new arrows this weekend, definitely hit hard and a lot more range then my long bow.
