Default Savage

Can anyone tell me what the difference between a Savage model 111 and a 110. I have a 111 and saw tha Houge makes a stock but its for the 110. I like the one thats on my Ruger 10/22 so thought I might get one for the savage.

Default Not quite

I know it wasnt always so but my understanding is that these days the 111's are their hunting grade rifles and come with either plastic or hardwood stocks, the 110s are law enforcement/ precision rifes although for some reason the scout model is also a 110. Other than the scout they have long heavy barrels and I have never seen one with a wooden stock. The 114s are their high end models and come with wallnut stocks. The 116 are stainless and plastic and the 12s are target grade. All models in short action are two digit numbers (11, 14, 10 etc)
