Default Gull update for Friday

Me and a friend hit gull today on the north side. Quite a bit of snow but 4x4 will get you out. Ice was about 30 inches thick. Lots of people fishing with a few guys getting whites and saw 1 Ling.
Caught 7 whites between us, lost a few more. A few perch ( small ) and 1 jack.
Not one hit on the tip-up !!!!!!!!
Weather was beautiful, ate a huge lunch, fell asleep in the warm tent, woke up with a white on !

three of the whites were a little smaller than normal, 4 were good ones. The derby I believe is south east in a crappy fishing area so shouldn't affect too much.
Go in on 53 to rimbey, south at the gas station( I think race track ) to TWP 422, hang a right, there is a sign for a U-Pick straight to the lake. Make sure you have 4x4, look for the tents all over the area

Find sand, and some structure, fish close to bottom. We usually fish northwest end or north of wilson's beach.

Didn't want to start a new thread but I'm looking for info. I'll be at Gull tomorrow fishing for burbs and would like to target something else (anything else) in the afternoon. Could anyone recommend a spot for whitefish, perch, suckers, whatever else? Would appreciate it, I'm hoping to beat my personal best Gull day of a single pike and burbot. Thanks for any tips and good luck to everyone this weekend.
