Spring Lake

I stopped by about a month ago and was told (by an old there at the entrance gate) that there will be no fishing at Spring Lake allowed this year at all due to winter kill this past winter. Does anyone know if this is true?

I am sure that the new stocked fish will reach reasonable size even within this fishing season.
