Sylvan report.

Went to Sylvan tonight from 7-10pm. Have been hearing about this walleye bite behind the water slides and had to check it out. It took me an hour to find the right spot and presentation, but... wow! From 8-10 I landed over twenty walleye and two pike. Nothing big but a nice average. All walleye were 16 to 20 inches and the pike were close to keepers. Everything was caught on jig and minnow under a slip bobber. Bait was the key, there were three other guys there flogging the water with spoons, rapalas, and jigs and caught nothing! Good spot to take a kid. Will try to post pics.

Hey MB,
How deep of water is the right spot ?
The inlaws cabin is right accross the rd from the slide.
I might have to check it out.

well I try to get my bait so it's just above the bottom. I think my knot for the slip bobber was set at 4.5 - 5feet. Not very deep there. And fish right at the entrance to the marina. Note: some people will avoid your line most don't!
