Default 6mm Creedmore

Any 6mmCM shooters here. Would like to hear any first hand experience with the cartridge good or bad.

Probably not many around yet, and I don’t have one, but they look like an interesting round. Should be quite capable of launching the 6mm heavies pretty quick. Probably similar performance to 243 Win, but I would expect them to be a bit more consistent? Should fit in SA magazines and feed well.

Maybe, Hornady released 6.5prc at the shotshow. Built off the RCM case apparently. It's supposed to crack 3100 with a 140gr, 200-250 faster than the Creedmore, The promo was trying to push it as a hunting round. I saw that Win brought out an 1885 in the 6.5 Creedmore this year. Seemed pointless in that app. But, the short 6.5's seem to be the latest fad.

The 6mm CM is doing quite well on the PRS circuit, battling the 6.5CM, 6.5x47, 6mmx47 etc.

As a big fan of the 375 ruger case, i was stoked to see the 6.5PRC released. Im thinking it would make an excellent sheep/deer round. I have a 300RCM, and one of my favorites is the 338RCM. I agree with the single shot in 6.5cm not being attractive to me. Id love a win 1885, or ruger #1 in 338rcm though.

Yeah those are all exciting points about the 6cm. As an avid 243 shooter im looking forward to a case designed for the long heavy bullets. I am torn between the 6x47, and the 6CM. The ability to neck down 6.5CM brass is a huge bonus for the 6CM, as well as factory offerings from Hornady. From what I understand the 6CM runs higher pressure under SAMMI,compared to the 243, so this would contribute to the "gains".

Why would you neck down 6.5 brass?

Thumbs up 6mm creedmoor

Yep, got 500 down the pipe and it is a very accurate round, equal to 6mm br
and good enough to hit small objects at 400 yards like golf balls. With reloaded shells.

That's an encouraging sign. What brass are you using? Any load data you are willing to share??
