Default Nafa Results

Just listened to the auction. Heavy coyotes sold well and I'm sure there's a bunch of happy coyote trappers here now!

Thanks again Spruce. It didn't sell as high as I thought it might but like I said before the auction I'll be happy to take whatever it sells for. That pelt sold for 160.

Just calculated my average to be 115.50 usd.

Just sold 33 of my coyotes. Averaged $95 and that was all my coyotes from the last 2 weeks in November that were all early ones. Lots of them were labelled Early or Xtra early. I also had 4 very damaged ones. Sold my 2Damaged 3's for $20 each. Next sale will have most of my good ones on. I will take those kind of prices on crappy early dogs all day long.

Was that US Price Pointer?
Also I showed that I shipped 35 coyotes to the sale and on my lott letter only 33 actually showed up and sold. What happened to the other 2 coyotes? If they sold Private treaty would it not show that? I can't remember if they would show up now or later? Where are my other 2 yotes?

I sold 3 beaver. 2 for 6 bucks each and one for $18. What a waste of time that was for those beaver.
Marten suck right now. Glad I am holding mine for a year or 2 and hope things go up. Next coyote sale will be better prices I think and I will have my better hides on them.
If you find out where the missing stuff is Dave let me know

Just listened to the marten auction. Very poor results! Out of 31 lots offered they only sold 10.Top price paid was $75.

pretty weak really, maybe why they didn't sell last time though. Guess we'll see how the next one goes

I am going to board mine up and then just tuck them away in the freezer or find a way to store them for a year or 2. Why give them away for $40-50? The Marten price is not going to change much for a couple years.

Default Beavers

Nube,

Beavers have not sold yet. The ones you are showing as sold were private treaty before the sale. I think the offered certain carry over pelts for a set price before the sale. I sold 2 LM's for $15 (7.50/ea).

Just tripple bag them stacked flat and freeze them Nube. They'll keep just fine.

Hard to guess what those prices will do, 10 months ago I would have never guessed oil would be bellow $50/barrel either.

Someone posted that they sometimes have fur missing but it shows up for the auction so I'll wait until Thursday before I flinch. Not sure what would have happened to your coyotes though. You might want to think about sending an email to NAFA, that's what I'm going to do if my beaver doesn't show up.

I also have castoreum in that doesn't show anywhere. Is that sold differently than the fur?

wasn't all that long ago, that 40-50$ marten averages where the norm. was a bit of spike for a couple of years. but it may be a very long time before those levels are seen again. especially if they keep bringing them back.

Where are you guys getting this info? They haven't posted any sale prices yet for coons even. Marten are last to sell, and their are only 21 lots listed.
Dave, castor will show up at a later date on your account. Always sold in private treaty sale per weight and grade.

Started Nov 16th. I know that because i got home from my Tur hunt on the 15th and my wife wondered why I wanted to go out ans set snares so soon lol I basically caught all these in November. Surprised I had so many as early because it says they prime up in November. Either way I can live with these prices for coyotes. I tell guys why not start early when you can get $74+ for a coyote. I had a friend of mine start in October and most of his were early and he still had great results.
