Default New play gun

I recently finished putting together my new Tikka CTR 6.5 creed.

I bedded into a Manners T4 with Devcon and free floated the barrel, also bedded the bottom metal and free floated the magazine well. I didn’t like the tiny recoil lug the stock came with so I got a larger stainless one made, along with a 1/2” stainless butt plate riser(it’s comfortable shooting prone and the recoil is directed straight back). I made myself aluminum bedding pillars from 1” aluminum rod and bedded them in as well. Slapped a heathen muzzle break on it.

It came as a regular T4 stock, but I was wanted an adjustable so with KMW loggerhead hardware and over 2 lbs of JB weld I made my own.

After hours... days... weeks ... months of thinking and debating of what scope to buy I finally decided on a Kahles 624i, and a spuhr 6 mil mount.

oh and it shoots .. real good, I’m just started load development. Worst groups it shoots are 1” and most are around .5-.7 best one yet was .305”... all shooting in the frigging cold and wind! (Haven’t had a decent shooting day in a month)

Default Great time

Isnt it a great time to be a gun owner. Stock action and barrel can produce those kind of results with some hard work and elbow grease. Good for you and good luck.

Good job. I hope that she's a shooter for you. Looks as though it should be.
