Default LOP Problem

So i recently installed a Pachmayr pad on my gun but have come to find out that my LOP is a little long now. I can make it work but it doesnt come up natural like it used to. Ive got about 1/4" on my scope to move back i dont know if thatll work or not. If i need my stock trimmed is it as easy as taking a chop saw to it and hoping you dont screw it up? Its a laminate stock BTW. But if thats a bad idea how much is it gonna cost me to get someone to fix it up right for me? Thanks

Default Stock fit

Find a gunsmith, or someone who has done a few of these, and get it adjusted to the proper LOP. Proper stock fit is very important where accurate shooting is concerned, and if it doesn't feel right now, just imagine what it will be like in the field, with your hunting clothes on, during the heat of the battle with Mr. Whitetail. Probably better than just "making it work". Good luck.
