Default VX-II 3-9X40 Canadian

Just bought one for my dad's .270 and was wondering about boresighting it.
With the custom caliber/grain elevation turret do you boresight it for zero at 200 yards as per the "2" on the turret?
Does anybody have any info/experience with a similar leopold scope?

Thanks.

Remove the turrent and bore site it.
Replace the turrent and take it to the range, 0 it at two hundred
Set the turrent to 2 and the hash mark on the scope base
