Maybe its coincidence, but in 13 games with the Oilers, Jokinen had 1 point, in two games with the Kings he has 2 points.....

Default Ok...Bessiedog has the solution..

Problem number one.

McDavid isn't ready for the C

Share it with Looch. Let Looch be Looch in the dressing room.

Slap the German around... slap the ex-alcoholic ( Cassian)around....call them both out in the dressing room and get them going.

8 mil for Drai is a classic example of giving a child too much candy and video games. There's no hunger anymore.... $ squelched the fire... dammit, ya can't buy character.

Phone Montreal..... trade two of our guys for Galleger, galchenyuk or Hemsky

Only trade one guy for Hemmer.

Trade Scleppy, or Cagullia, or one of our other up and comer 3rd line forwards.

Montreal is in the same boat as we are.... desperate...

2 forwards for Galleger and bring up out 5' prospect....

And we're good.

So, you pretty much need a new team. Gotcha. Still in the rebuild eleven years in. Fair enough...

nope..... you're wrong.

We need to treat the third-4th line as 'your lucky to be here' lines. Guys are too comfy.

We need LOOCH to do a Messier in the locker.... put up or GTFO.... take a couple lazy rich boys 'for a canoe ride'...

... I thought we got rid of the cancer with Ebbs....... I was wrong

Throw big dollars at guys these days... and you see their real heart quickly.

damn shame.

Cass is skatin around doing zip most of the time. So is Cagullia, Schleppy, that third string Finn that coach likes so much.
There's NO desperation. Its playoff time.

Nuge has bought in, Looch is playing well.... McJesus cant do it all.

Our solution needs to be another forward..... activating 'the D' (none of which have any offensive instinct... kinda like using a cow for riding instead of a horse..... it'll work but...) is NOT a solution to the very pressing problem.

we

need

one

forward.

It'll come from Montreal..... or mebbe Arizona....

At least the fans are still willing to pay inflated prices to go watch games and drink $9 flat beer....

I dont think Lucic can really talk too much when it comes to reading his teamates the riot act. He needs to lead by example and start playing like the Lucic Edmonton thought they were getting. This guy was an absolute monster and game changer back in the day. He is a mere shell of his former self since putting on the Oiler jersey. Maybe that one year stint in LA softened him...

How much is his contract?

Am I the only one that's noticed that the only 3-4 guys posting in this thread are not Oilers fans????

You guys need to find something better to do with your time...

I think that's because most of the die hard Oilers fans dropped off the bandwagon a few weeks ago.

Ha. Why would my feelings be hurt? Just an observation. It's kinda pathetic.

You seem pretty fixated on this thread, perhaps "thou dost protest too much".

I enjoy hockey. This thread is about the Oilers and the fantastic season they are having. Don't see any protesting.

As for pathetic, clearly your above it...

You must be an Oilers fan

Go easy sgill, the Oilers are still rebuilding, into the second decade. It's sensitive......

Without Mcdavid this team would be below Arizona. It's a one dimensional team. shut mcdavid down and you win, easy as that. Powerplay= Atrocious , PK=atrocious , depth = atrocious , defence/goaltending = atrocious and even worse is the media/fans ripping on their captain who's on pace for 100+ points and the only reason they win games. What a shame.

People are ripping on McDavid?!?

If so, that's hilarious, they have one good thing going for them, well, two, Nuge has been playing pretty well this year, and they are ripping him.

Other than Mcdavid, nuge has been the second best player on that team. I'm a huge oiler fan and it's comical to see the oiler fans on social media bashing connor's play so far this year.

This team is almost out of it. Another 5 losses, and it will be over.

Yeah, they desperately need a win streak. It's not fun to see them struggle.....ok, yeah it is, but still would like to see them make playoffs. I like a good rivalry.

And he is 6 points behind Johnny through 20 games too, so doing really good that way....
