In my 6.5X47 Lapua, I shot 39Gr of RL-17. Accuracy was equal to RL-15 but velocity was a little less. There is certainly room for more powder in this cartridge.
In the 260 Alliant has 44Gr RL-17 listed for a 120Gr bullet and and 41Gr listed for a 140Gr.

260 Rem and 130 grain bullets
of H4831-SC for bullets from 120 - 130 grains works for me when I occasionally want some velocity to go along with decent accuracy without going overboard on the pressure.... your mileage may vary.
