Default Nice perspective of upper and lower Kananaskis lakes

Spent the day up at Rawson, fishing was slow with 3 fish the best around 14". Tons of people on the trail and lake. Weather was a bit cool so we made the hike up the ridge. Nice views of upper and lower K on one side and rawson on the other

What a view.

I'll never understand the logic in wasting vacation time in a place like Las Vegas...give me Canadian wilderness, all day everyday.

Damn! That is an amazing view. I imagine it was something else in person. Good stuff and thanks for taking the time to share it!

I have some pretty awesome stories from Vegas trips too. Got change it up from time to time; and some stuff is kinda only seen regularly in Vegas.

Have spent all my life in that area but never made the climb to the ridge. How far past the lake is the ridge? Is it a difficult assent?

Distance wise it is not far, elevation wise it is a fair climb with some parts being a scramble. Time wise 45 mins to an hour to comfortably get up there.
The descent is challenging on the knees and ankles. I would recommend trekking poles. Well worth the effort!

Maybe not if you lived in the mountains and were in them every day.
