I was out at peppers on the 5th and the fishing was great with small jigs in shallow water by the gravel bars bait was a waste of time ice was about 2inches thick

hows things out there.... planning on heading out late this week

I wanted to hit them spawning but was about a week late with my best guess. Still in the shallows, caught alot of small ones, seen some nice ones just could not entice them to bite. For some reason in that lake I have a hard time finding exactly what the big ones want through the ice.
Hope you have better luck with the big ones.
